Who this covers
Wide Awake AI LLC is a California limited liability company based in San Diego. This policy covers this website, www.wideawakeai.com, and the enquiries that arrive through it.
If you are already a client, the data your business puts through a system we built and run for you is governed by your service agreement, not by this page. That agreement is the document that says what we hold for you, where it lives and how long it stays.
What we collect
What you hand us
The contact form asks for your name, your business, an email address, a phone number and a short description of what you need. You decide what goes in it. If you email or call instead, we have whatever you chose to put in that message.
The demo
If you call the demo line or press the Talk to Ava button, you are talking to the product. The audio is processed and transcribed by our voice provider so the agent can answer you, and the transcript reaches us. It is a demo running on a public line, so please do not read out anything confidential and do not test it with a real client matter.
What arrives on its own
Our host keeps the ordinary web server log: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the time, and the page that sent you here. That log is what keeps the site up and blocks abuse. The site also loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google's font servers see the IP address of anyone who loads a page here.
Cookies, honestly
This site runs no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no third party trackers. There is no pixel here, and nothing on this site builds a profile of you or follows you to another website.
The one thing we keep in your browser is a single local entry recording that you dismissed the cookie notice, so that it stays dismissed. It sits in your browser, it never reaches us, and clearing your browser storage brings the notice back. That is the whole of it.
If that ever changes, and adding analytics one day is the obvious way it would, this page gets updated first and the notice on the site will ask you before anything non essential loads.
Who else sees it
A handful of outside services run parts of this site. Each one sees only what it needs to do its job.
- Cloudflare hosts and delivers the site, so it handles server logs and IP addresses.
- FormSubmit takes the contact form and delivers it to our inbox.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces, and sees IP addresses.
- Vapi runs the voice demo, so it handles demo call audio and transcripts.
- Our email provider holds the inbox your message lands in.
- Stripe handles billing for clients. We never see your full card number.
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or pass your contact details to other companies for their marketing. We do not use what you send us to train AI models.
How long we keep it
Enquiries stay in our email for as long as there is a reason to keep them, which in practice means the life of the conversation and any working relationship that follows. Demo calls sit with the voice provider under its own retention window, which is short, and we do not build a file on people who try the demo. Ask us to delete what we hold and we will.
Your choices
Write to chris@wideawakeai.com and you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or tell us to stop contacting you. A person answers these, there is no charge, and you do not need to give a reason.
California residents have these rights under state law, including the right to know what is collected about them and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell it, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the request line is the same address.
Your browser may send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. This site does not track you across other sites in the first place, so there is nothing for that signal to switch off.
Children
Nothing here is aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Security
Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit. The services listed above are the ones involved, and access to what comes through the site is limited to the person who runs the company. No arrangement is perfect, and we would rather write that down than imply otherwise.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Anything material gets a notice on the site rather than a quiet edit.
